TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BOOKING
Bookings run from 3.00 pm on the Friday to 10.00 am of the following week, unless agreed in advance at the time of booking. Short breaks for 3 nights run from Friday to Monday, and 4 night breaks from Monday to Friday. 3.00pm arrival and 10.00am departure times apply.

 Your reservation will be held for five days for us to receive a non-refundable booking deposit of £100.00. This deposit can be paid by cheque or by direct transfer to our bank account – details of which will be given at the time of booking.

It would be helpful if you let us know what time you expect to arrive.

PRICING AND PAYMENT
All prices are shown in pounds sterling. A deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance, including the Security Deposit (see below) is payable no later than 6 weeks before arrival, or on booking if the arrival date is less than 6 weeks from the date of the booking.

Payment may be made by cheque or bank transfer. Payments by cheque will only be accepted if received no later than 10 working days before the arrival date. Instructions on making payments by bank transfer will be provided once the booking is accepted.

CANCELLATION
In the event of cancellation after receipt of your booking deposit, but before the balance of your stay has been paid, you will forfeit the booking deposit. Where payment in full has been made, we will attempt to re-let Mailscot View and, if successful, we will be pleased to return any balance already paid by you. If it does not prove possible to re-let, we regret the monies already paid by you cannot be refunded.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking all monies will be refunded.
We recommend Guests take out appropriate holiday cancellation insurance to protect yourselves.

USE OF PROPERTY
The number of persons (maximum 4) occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stipulated, and the property and garden are for their use exclusively. The property will be used for personal and domestic purposes only. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if these conditions are not observed.

LINEN
Bed linen and tea towels are provided, as part of the rental costs. Towels are not provided

DOGS
Dogs are welcome at Mailscot View at no extra cost.

Dog owners are asked to observe the following additional conditions:

  1. Dogs must be under control at all times while on the property, or in the garden.
  2. Any fouling of garden/patio areas must be removed immediately and disposed of in the appropriate bin (provided).
  3. The owner must bring the dog's bed or basket for it to sleep in.
  4. Dogs may not be left alone in the garden or the property, unless by prior arrangement.  Please speak to us about this before you book.
  5. Dogs must not be permitted to lie on any furniture, and all dog hair must be cleared up before departure.

CLEANING
The property is thoroughly cleaned between lets. However, please make sure that you leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition at the end of your stay. Cleaning materials are provided.

SMOKING
Mailscot View is a NON-SMOKING property.

HEATING/ELECTRICTY
These charges are included in the rental price.

LIABILITY
The hirer takes responsibility, including responsibility for any other persons accompanying him/her, for any loss, injury or damage suffered by the hirer or those accompanying him/her while in or around The Coach House, except where such loss, injury or damage is directly due to the acts or omissions of the owners.

The hirer agrees to keep Mailscot View and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the accommodation in the same state of repair as at the start of the let and undertakes to make good any damage breakage or loss during the let.
The hirer undertakes to ensure that Mailscot View is securely locked when left unoccupied during your stay.

If, for any reason (eg fire or storm damage) Mailscot View is not available on the date booked, the owners will refund all monies paid by the hirer. However, the owners shall not be liable for any loss, expense, or inconvenience resulting from such unavailability and the hirer will have no claim against the owners.
